Zoe Saldaña has officially claimed the title of the highest-grossing actor of all time at the global box office, surpassing Scarlett Johansson after years of blockbuster success across multiple major film franchises. This milestone comes largely thanks to the enormous worldwide earnings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, which recently crossed the $1 billion mark, pushing Saldaña’s cumulative box office total beyond that of Johansson’s and other top stars.

According to updated box office tracking, films featuring Saldaña have collectively grossed over $15.4 billion globally, a career figure that now places her atop the historical rankings. Previously, Johansson held the record after her success in mega-grossing films like Jurassic World Rebirth and numerous entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Saldaña’s rise reflects her involvement in some of the most commercially successful films in cinema history. She starred as Neytiri across the Avatar franchise—including Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, and the recent Fire and Ash—all of which rank among the top grossing films ever. Additionally, her portrayal of Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and key appearances in Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War significantly contributed to her total box office haul.

In a career that spans decades and multiple cinematic universes, Saldaña has now achieved a historic feat in film revenue. Her record underscores both the enduring popularity of blockbuster franchises and the impact of interconnected storytelling in contemporary Hollywood. As additional sequels and future releases are planned, her box office lead may continue to grow.
